Like all sports, cycling can be a lot of fun and can help you stay fit and healthy. But unlike most sports, cycling can also has a very practical purpose and has a part to play in living a greener lifestyle.
Cycling as a sport has never had a higher profile in Wales or the UK. With Wales and the UK producing world champ after gold medalist, the future of the sport has never been brighter. There are loads of cycling clubs in Wales and South Wales offers some great cycling facilities – from arena tracks to mountains.
As a collection of sports, there loads of different types of cycling to try – from road racing to arena racing and from bmxing to mountain biking. You’ll find lots of info at the links below to help you find out what’s available in your area and to see what type of cycling appeals to you.
Cycling is also a great way to get from A to B. If you need to get to school, college or work, or if you’re heading to the shops or to a friend’s house, cycling is quick way to get around that’ll give you a workout and save the environment from pollutants a car would have pumped out making the same journey.
