Drugs and Family Support

What services does your agency offer?

We offer telephone, one to one and group support to any person who is affected by or concerned about someone else’s substance misuse (including alcohol). We also provide talks in schools, youth clubs and to community groups. We provide parental information sessions on drugs and alcohol in various venues throughout Newport.

Who can contact your agency?

Anyone who is concerned with someone else’s substance misuse can contact us. We also accept referrals from drug and alcohol services, Social Services and other agencies.

What age range of clients does your agency provide a service to?

We provide a service to anyone over the age of 18. There is no upper limit.

Which geographical areas within Newport does your agency operate?

We use venues throughout Newport. We can arrange appointments at convenient locations near to the service user.

What happens when someone first contacts you?

First contact is usually made by telephone. We are warm and welcoming and allow the client to discuss their concerns. We listen in a supportive manner offering information as and when required. If a client wishes to meet, we arrange an appointment in their locality. We will discuss all concerns in a confidential manner, in a safe and non-judgemental environment.
