Alcohol Spiking
More rapes involve alcohol than any other drug. In large doses, alcohol will sedate and cause loss of memory, and victims usually drink it willingly. In addition alcohol increases the effect of most other sedative drugs.
In the UK – of 1014 women who were date-raped and believed that drugs had been put in their drinks – 990 only had alcohol in their system.
