Recently “female condoms” or “femidoms” have become available.
They are larger and wider than male condoms but the same length. They have a flexible ring-shaped opening, and are designed to be inserted into the vagina. They also contain an inner ring which aids insertion and helps keep the condom from sliding out of the vagina during intercourse. These, as with the male condom, also help protect against pregnancy and STIs.
