When it comes to making a choice about contraception you will probably find that your best bet at this time is the pill or the condom (or both!). However the pill will not stop STIs whereas the condom can protect against unwanted pregnancy and STIs.
Getting used to condoms can take a little practice, but don’t worry it doesn’t take long before they start to feel like an essential part of your sex life. Always choose condoms that carry the European CE mark, a recognised safety standard. DO NOT use novelty condoms – they’re not safe.
