Sport transforms lives and you can play your part…
You don’t need to be an ex Olympic gold medal winner to become a sports volunteer! In fact you don’t even need to be particularly sporty at all. Enthusiasm and dedication are the key ingredients that make up a sports volunteer. There are loads of ways you can get involved with sports in your community – as a coach, as an event organiser, with club administration, as a treasurer – to name but a few. With the key ingredients, you can help sport to do its magic in providing enjoyment, improving fitness and building confidence and aspirations.
And the rewards of sports volunteering are two way – the rewards for the volunteer can be not only fun and rewarding, but life changing.
You can volunteer to work with other young people or children, or indeed any age and you can get involved in more sports than we can list here.
Below you’ll find a list of websites that should offer a great starting point for you to find a volunteering role that right for you. Or you can contact a local sports club and ask them if they need any volunteers.
