There are lots of excuses for bullying but never justification…
There are plenty of issues that play a part in why bullying takes place – but none of them are valid reasons for bullying to take place.
People are sometimes bullied because of the colour of their skin, becuase of their religious beliefs, because of their weight or height, their hair colour, a stammer, their clothes, the list goes on. But nobody should be ashamed of any of those things – and nobody should have to put up with bullying, whatever the supposed reason for it.
Bullying often takes place because of the bully’s own unhappiness or lack of self esteem – and wanting to show off to impress or make new friends.
The important thing to remember is that all bullying is wrong, that the person being bullied is not at fault and there are things that can be done to stop bullying. Read FrankandHonest.com’s other articles on bullying and visit the links below to find out what can be done to tackle bullying.
